Terrific program tonight at the monthly Montclair UNICO meeting when the NJ poet, Maria Mazziotti Gillan read from her books: 'All that Lies Between us','Things my Mother told me', and "Italian Women in Black Dresses'" poems that read like a memoir of the Italian mother, stories of mothers and daughters, growing up in an Italianneighborhood in Paterson NJ. Director of the Poetry Center at Passaic County Community College in Paterson and Director of the Creative Writing Program at Binghampton University-SUNY, and an American Book Award Winner she was marvelous.
